Dr. Belay noted that the construction of the Arjo Dhidhessa irrigation dam has faced delays over the years; however, it is currently progressing with the goal of completing it in a short timeframe to bring it into service.
He emphasized that this irrigation project is set to cover over 80,000 hectares of land, and the government is committed to enhancing the left canal works to ensure it becomes fully operational.
The event was attended by key officials, including Eng. Girma Regassa, Head of the Oromia Bureau of Irrigation and Pastoralist Development, as well as federal leaders and representatives from Jimma, Buno Bedelle, and East Wellega Zones.
