Farmers in Ejeree, Ejersa Lafoo and Walmaraa districts of the district are using deep wells dug for them to carry out irrigated wheat cultivation.
There is a lot of land covered with wheat in West Shawaa district.
Digging deep wells is one of the water supply strategies being developed to avoid water shortage for this production.
Farmers in Ejeree, Ejersa Lafoo and Walmaraa districts of West Shawaa region said that the Awash River flooding in summer has hampered their agricultural production 45,000 crore and hope for good results, he said.
