Mr. Kadir Adam is a resident of Laga Hidhaa District, Eastern Bale Region. Mr. Kadir had no understanding of water reinforcement before. Hearing information about water reinforcement in Harare, he traveled to Harare to learn about its nature.
When they arrived in Harare, they gained experience on how to dig a family lake and strengthen the water for various purposes. They gained experience and returned to their native place and dug a lake.
The lake they dug was used to strengthen the water with the support of Geomembrane from the Bureau of Irrigation and Horticulture Development.
He is currently producing vegetables and Fruits, Mango, Papaya, and is working on Rabbit Breeding.
Mr. Kadir said that strengthening the water has also helped him to use biogas in his house.
On the other hand, they are giving the water to their neighbors for drinking purposes, he said.
They are still changing their lives and becoming an example for their neighbours.
