The city’s enthusiasm plan for irrigated wheat production this year was discussed with the Support Committee of the Oromia Irrigation and Horticulture Development Bureau, the management and experts of the Maya Irrigation and Agriculture Development Office.
In 2016, the city of Maya will focus on providing irrigation water through various irrigation methods. In total, 500 hectares of land will be developed with various irrigation methods. It is also planned to procure 130 pumps in the city.
