The irragation water supply is being provided through various techniques to make the irrigation wheat cultivation successful this year. The department also reviewed the work of the first quarter.

The works planned for 2016 as per the Bureau of Irrigation and Horticulture Development of Oromia have been carried out in the first quarter.
The performance of the first quarter was also reviewed. The review noted that the works related to the projects are good and there are shortcomings in repaying the pump loans.
The head of the Bureau of Irrigation and Horticulture Development, Eng. Girma Raggasaa said that the plan to cultivate irrigated wheat on more than 2.6 million hectares of land will be achieved.
