There is a lot of work being done to strengthen the rainwater harvesting in Xullo District of West Hararghe Zone.
Strengthen rainwater culture so that farmers can increase their production and productivity
good spirits are being worked on among the community of the district. 31 shara lakes have been flooded.
This year, 404 lakes that started the phase and those dug this summer have been irrigated for 132 households and individuals
Xullo District, Mr. Mahamad Ahmad said.
The government is working on a strategy to improve the efficiency of agricultural development traditions so that farmers can get out of the expectation of rain and resort to strengthening water culture
Some of the farmers we spoke to in the district said that they have dug new fields and they ask the government to provide them with motor pumps and lake sharks as well as seeds of vegetables and fruits that will arrive soon.
Finally, the Governor of Xullo District, Mr. Sufiyaan Ahmad, said that the experience of water reinforcement is being taken up in Xullo District.
