Dadar Zone is one of them in East Hararghe Region. This Zone was not known for producing Irrigated wheat before.
Over the past three years, however, the taste has become familiar.
This year, the wheat sown in some places is expected to bear fruit with the work being done to double the experience and understanding gained from the previous results.
According to Dadar Zone, wheat is being produced on 10,000 hectares of land under irrigation this year and the available water is being used equally. The farmers of the district have learned from the knowledge and experience of last year’s activities and have started irrigating wheat to produce it scientifically this year.
